Gait scan is a computerised technology that can help evaluate your posture, the way that
you stand and walk.
Understandng and promoting proper foot
function can help relieve discomfort
in the back, hips, knees or feet.
Gait scan is used to aid diagnosis and treatment
by demonstrating and mapping the pressures
acting upon the soles of your feet.
You walk across a pressurised mat which has thousands of tiny sensors that capture
the distribution of pressure throughout
the sole of your foot.
This information is then analysed by a special computer, and displayed as a 2-D and 3-D picture highlighting the pressures
acting on your feet.
This information is then set out in a report that helps the Oesteopath to determine if your symptoms could be due to a foot problem.
